Candlebay Inn

Greetings!

Candlebay Inn, Freeport, MaineSpring is officially here and the summer season is approaching fast! We’re so excited to welcome our first summer season and have spent the past few weeks outside doing yard work. Because of this, we haven’t had much time to venture out and explore, but we’re excited to share information about the upcoming Spring Festival at Wolfe’s Neck Farm.

Did you know that they host Farm-To-Table events where all proceeds support their Teen Ag Program? This program is educating the next generation of farmers and small farm advocates and has donated more than 12,000 pounds of fresh produce to local food banks! We think that’s an amazing commitment and can’t wait for their first event, “Pig Roast and Tasting” featuring Miyake on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tickets are available at www.wolfesneckfarm.org and don’t forget to make your reservation to spend the night at Candlebay Inn!

We also have a great new package that we can’t wait to tell you about. All the details are to the right; your fuzzy family members will certainly be happy to join you on vacation!

Warmest wishes,

In the Dog House?

Not at Candlebay Inn!

Along with their humans, Otto and Figgy stayed with us this month. Figgy was a rescue from Alabama. His original owner had purchased him from a breeder as a 12-week old puppy. It seems the owner was good to him but then at a critical phase in the puppy’s development, the owner suddenly became terminally ill. This left Figgy bouncing from home to home until he ended up with a wonderful foster home in southern Alabama at almost eight months old. Joe, from Figgy’s forever home, took a week off and drove to Alabama. It was love at first sight and Figgy wouldn’t leave Joe’s side.
