This year, The designers at the Victorian Mansion in Portland have found inspiration in the “Colors of the Season,” as well as colors from within the Mansion itself! Join them for a self-paced tour of the Mansion from November 24, 2023, to January 7, 2024, to see the house decked out in colorful seasonal splendor.

About the Victorian Mansion:  Also known as the Morse-Libby House, Victoria Mansion was built between 1858 and 1860 as a summer home for two people, Ruggles Sylvester Morse and his wife Olive. Though both were from Maine originally, the Morse family made their home in New Orleans, Louisiana. This spectacular summer home was designed by the architect Henry Austin of New Haven, CT, and is widely considered one of the finest examples of the Italian Villa style in America. Strategically located near the city’s earliest gas and sewer lines, the house was a model of elegance and convenience with hot and cold running water, flush toilets, central heating, gas lights, a servant call-bell system, wall-to-wall carpeting, and a 25-foot-long stained glass skylight.

Tickets are available on their Plan Your Visit page. Victoria Mansion is closed on Mondays during the holiday season. Closed 12/25 and 1/1, closing early 12/24 and 12/31. It is highly recommended to obtain advance registration for weekends and rainy days to ensure you can visit at the time you want.
